Social scientists now have proof that yes, it does. Still skeptical? Give this a try: Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Make fists with your hands and place them on your hips – imagine Wonder Woman or Super Man. Stand like this for a full two minutes. Then notice how much taller and powerful you feel. That’s because your testosterone (the power hormone) level went up and your cortisol (the stress hormone) level went down.
